If you are there on the weekend go to the Undertow Bar and Grill. On Sat and Sunday from 2-5 they have all you can eat Royal Reds, Crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and grilled corn on the cob for $10. Royal reds were cooked perfectly. Did not try any of the crawfish.

A RR is a shrimp living and caught in deeper water. It is said to effect the taste. Sometimes is does, sometimes not. Watch where you buy 'em.

They are high in crude oil content, but magically delicious.

Looks like a cross between a shrimp and a lobster. Eat with drawn butter like you do a lobster. My son had them for first time in Orange Beach last year and been talking about ever since.
