Anyone ever heard of a truck transmission being in limp mode? I have a 2010 Dodge that's hung up in 4th gear. Called the dealership and they said it was hung in limp mode. They said it could be a number of things.
I asked if the "little blue pill" would fix the limp problem and the girl died out laughing.

I have a F150 that had a similar deal, stuck in 3rd gear. Turns out the battery had low voltage and caused it. Replaced battery and back to normal.
Not sure if this is related....

My 06 GMC did that one time as part of an engine overheat warning and I had to have the computer re-flashed.

Usually turning it off, turning the key to on (but not all the way to turn the engine over) and floor the accelerator for about 10 seconds will reset the computer. That should get it back to working. But still take it in. Usually limp mode is the transmission preventing itself from damage and allow you to 'limp' home. That's why they call it 'limp mode'. That's usually the case if you are driving it hard, or towing something very heavy. If not, then it could just be electrical.

On a GM it is usually a Throttle Censor Cable, trust me I know. You can turn it off and it will go away, but it will come back. On a Dodge, I am not sure.

It has a selenoid package gone out in it. Hopefully it will be fixed today.
