Those companies are there to tell you when inquiries are made on your credit and when knew loans and such are opened. They will defend you if they let one slip through. If you think they'll let you sign up now for $20-$50 per month and defend you after the fact............I highly doubt it. That requires a lawyer and such and I personally wouldn't foot the bill if I were them, b/c pre-emptive work is the main reason those companies promise what they do. I use a different company provided to me for free for using Guaranty Bank.
