What is the story behind this?

there has been talk of someone buying it to cut it. they did not care about the deer. i will have to ask the guys in another office tomorrow.

May thin in spots to increase habitat. Very much interested in deer. Has been greatly improved in last 90 days in way of roads and just getting it cleaned up. Great place.

Has been for sale for a few years now. I know adjacent landowners well. Oxberry cut a lane of timber in one area on the wrong side of the property line. The corner mark was a giant old oak tree..........they wiped it out too.

Wasn't Oxberry a shareholder deal? Did they all fall out with each other? It happens, check out outdoorproperties, there's a river club in Bolivar County for sale too.

Twas recently bought and is up for sale again based on what I have been told.

I would be totally shocked if this place is for sell or ever gets cleared. There are over 20 members, all equity owners and wealthy. They just purchased a block outside the fence in the last few years. They have been shooting nothing but culls through 8pts for a few years and passing on all 10pt + unless the member wants to give up the next year bucks... The share for sale is likely a member with two or one guy in the group who is simply looking at getting out. Expect the share to sell for $100-125K which is a good price considering..

You may be shocked then because as Ted has already stated, the entire property sold a couple months ago and is being relisted by the new owners. Its my understanding that every member was bought out.

I believe I read somewhere that it was bought a few months back for around $9 mil.

It did go up for sale, majority of the members voted to sell so it sold.
