I said in another thread that I though A&M and Alabama will give us the most trouble. A&M because of their offense, and Bama, just because of their sheer amount of different talent everywhere. We match up fairly well against AU I think because if we can stop the run and force them to pass it could play into our game. KSU showed us Thursday night that AU will struggle at times passing the ball, such as LSU did. If we can turn it into a passing contest for them and put pressure on Marshall we should have a chance.

I think a&m will be a tougher test than auburn. Auburn should have lost to kstate. Auburn throwing the ball isn't the threat a&m will have. If state beats a&m hold on state fans it will be a heck of a year!!!!

Looking at schedule, there are 5 games M$U could easily lose.

And there were six such games a week ago.

I do admire your confidence.

Or win, that's why they play the game!

And I your acumen for stating the obvious. Your camping out on an MSU thread says a lot.

No camping.

Just answered question.

Relax. You seem sensitive and a little vulnerable.

State has two more games in this gauntlet, A&M and Auburn. IF we come out 6-0 after that, then I think it's on. I'm still skeptical til then.

I think State exposed LSU (and Wisconsin) more so than anything else...but they did look formidable doing it, SEC West just keeps getting stronger

Easy boys.........wow, one SEC west win and..........take it week by week. Of all the teams in the SEC west, A&M looks the most polished and will probably give MSU, UM, UA and AU fits.

The only way MSU can beat aTm is by running the football down their throats and scoring TD's doing it, thus outscoring and minimizing their opportunities offensively. They will pick the MSU secondary apart otherwise.

If State gets past Texas A&M I think they have a legit shot at winning the West. That said, I don't think State will beat aTm and here is why:

The strength of aTm is their passing offense...and passing defense just so happens to be the weakness of the Bulldogs (as evidenced by giving up 140 yards passing in the last 4 minutes against an overmatched LSU squad). I think it will be a high scoring affair, but I just don't see State being able to keep pace with the Aggies.

That said, I fully expect them to come back and beat Auburn the following weekend.

I think State probably only loses to Texas A&M and Alabama, unless Dak gets hurt.

The Egg Bowl will be really interesting but I think the pressure State gets with their front 7 will neutralize Dr. Bro Wallace enough to force turnovers and beat Ole Miss on the road.
