Smoke and mirrors. He will remain until his replacement is found(which I am betting will be just as liberal as he is)...it's been said the replacement may take a year. Just in time for those mid term elections, little bombing over here, Holder resigns but is there for another year...
Also, I'm betting by his "resignation" he wont be held accountable for anything.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed that none of the supreme court judges die within the next two years....Holder will be Obama's #1 candidate to fill any vacancy.

I have read speculation of a justice retiring and this being a move to prepare Holder for that nomination.

I tend to disagree....Dems. and Rinos. would confirm him across the board....Repubs. would make some sort of trade-off for a "favor-yet-to-be-named-at-a-later-date", and confirm, also....that'd how DC works.
