This is the interesting part.

The football investigation also has been ongoing for more than a year, multiple sources said.

Now, probably nothing to see here, but 12 months and counting on a football investigation can't be a good thing. And the biggest part is this ... A little over a year ago, many on this site said it was NOT happening. That proves some posters wrong, some that personally ridiculed others that implied it WAS happening. I doubt they'll eat their crow.

Did anyone read that all the football investigations are from Nutt's administration? Nothing is being investigated in Freeze or Bjork's time.

On another note: I can not believe there is a link to Elite Dawgs in this thread. I am a fan of each school, but I have never seen a bigger bunch of lunatics in my life than that exist in that place. 1000 rabid state fans with LBS. (Little Brother Syndrome)

I can honestly say, I am hoping for State to play well this weekend and beat TAMU...I can also with every ounce of honesty in me say that if a web click hungry web analyst at yahoo sports issues a year old line about MSU women's basketball and 7 year old secondary football violations from a failed coaching regime...and he did it 3 days before the biggest game on campus, maybe ever...despite State being a rival team, I wouldn't even glance twice at it...I would see it for what it was, but that's just me

I just find it funny today that it was so stupid for folks to believe they *may* actually be investigating -- and they were right. I still don't think it's anything substantial, but the lunatic fringe, as it turns out, was right. That's all.

it funny that last year, a little smoke of women's basketball NCAA investigation turned into pending sanctions of SMU proportions and unveiling of Hugh Freeze being a fraud b/c it was inconceivable Ole Miss was succeeding (or that hard to accept?)...while that was total BS, now that it becomes apparent NCAA might have brought forth questions of something secondary Houston Nutt did 7 years ago along with irrelevant rules investigation in another sport...you throwing out the "told you so"...that's what is funny
