What has happened to this place? Went for dinner last night with the family and could have been one of the worst dining experiences I have had in the recent past. We were the onlyone in the place and service was pain stakenly slow and after waiting on our food for 45 minutes I asked the waitress if she could please check on our food and she said they were waiting on the "fresh" fish to thaw out????? Once we got the food it was unedible. Fish smelled like it sat out in the Delta sun for 2 weeks and it smelled better than the one bite I took of it.

On the bottom of the menu, there is a little saying "Good food is worth the wait".
I use to eat there all the time. Absolutely love their steaks.
The last 2 times, however, they have exercised that saying to the point I ended up walking out. It was ridiculous.
Then again, I imagine everyone has an off day.

I have heard of a few bad experiences in the last year. And I do mean few. Like 2 or 3.

Must have been just an off night. That is why I was asking to see if this is the norm now. It must not be.

This is the first time I've heard of any problems eating there, it's normally a good all around experience...especially if your brown paper bag is full when you get there, and emptier when you leave!

We only go there for the steaks....never eaten anything else there....pricey, but always great steaks....it's ala carte, and you gonna drop a hunnert for two people, if you get the big ribeyes, salad, taters, and tea.
Service is usually good, but can't call it excellent.

A few years back, Lusco's served my sister a piece of rancid beef and then denied that there was anything wrong with it when we complained. We give our money to the fine gal over at Delta Bistro these days. Even before the rancid beef incident, I thought Lusco's had been coasting by on reputation for quite some time.

Feedcall and I ate at The Crystal Grill Wednesday. It was great as usual.
We had soft shelled crab and redfish with the gumbo.
I've never had a bad meal there.

Have been eating at Lucsco's since 1972 and never, ever, ever had a bad experience. One thing you always expect from places like Luscos and Crystal is consistency. Hate that you have a bad experience.
I ate at Bistro a few weeks back with a group of duck hunting companions (i was a guest of the host putting the event on) and let me tell you, we had 5 courses of duck prepared by the Chef. I have never in my life had a better meal from start to finish. I dont know how she did it but DANG it was unbelievable!!!!! I need to get all her recipes for the night and attempt that feat of duckanisity!
