How Does The Conference Finish?

I think that both Ole Miss and State both drop a game between now and the end of the Egg Bowl (more specifically, I think Ole Miss loses to Auburn and State loses to Bama). I also think that people are sleeping on Alabama. They have not played at their typical standard, but they are still the most talented team in the SEC.

So, if what mentioned above takes place, OM and State go into the Egg Bowl as one loss teams. OM has the tie break on Bama and State has it on Auburn (assuming the Bama schools win out). This makes the Egg and Iron Bowls really interesting. If Ole Miss wins the Egg Bowl and Alabama wins the Iron, Ole Miss wins the west due to the tie break. The reverse is true if State and Auburn win.

I think that the likelihood is that State wins the Egg Bowl and Alabama wins the Iron Bowl. Alabama wins the West.

So, my prediction:
(1) Bama
(2) State
(3) Auburn
(4) Ole Miss
(5) Texas A&M
(6) Arky
(7) LSU

I think Georgia wins the East:

Alabama wins the SEC Championship and gets #1 seed in playoff. Mississippi State gets the #4 seed in the playoff.

Alabama will not win the West with Blake Sims as QB. Unfortunately, we have no other options.

Is it simply that Coker does not have a grasp of the playbook? I spend a lot of time in B'ham with work and that is what I am hearing from a number of U of A guys.

I think Ole Miss, State and Alabama go into last week all 10-1 with Auburn 9-2. Ill take the home team in each game thus final standings are:

1 Ole Miss 11-1
2 Alabama 11-1
3 State 10-2
4 Auburn 9-3

I'll come back to this in two weeks so you can redo this calculation. Nothing last more than 2 weeks in the SEC.

Just too much unknown still to put together a really sound prediction. I will say that I do not agree with the media who are saying the schedules set up best for MSU. I believe UM has the best scenario left to play. They get their two toughest games left to play @ home (AU and MSU). Auburn on the other hand has UGA, UM, and Bama left to play which are 3 ough games and you have to think one could easily be a loss. MSU has it's toughest two games left to play @ Bama and @ Oxford. Because of this I think Rebs have the best shot on paper. Bama could rise to the occasion and swwep the rest of the season. They have the talent, but I also believe Kiffen curse will find the Tide one more loss. It is not out of the question that we end up with a bunch of two loss teams...no one is talking about it but it certainly can happen. The fans outside the SEC will have a hay day, and we here in the south will know we have a bunch of two loss teams well more deserving than those fakes from the ACC or Pac-10.

Georgia still looked good and could screw everything up with a sec championship win over either state or ole miss. Either way it plays out one team has to have a loss after egg bowl and if that team loses to Georgia then it screws both teams over. At least now with playoff system they have a chance to make 4 team playoff. Egg bowl for the ages for sure. Pressure beyond pressure for both teams And qbs.

Bama looked like they could beat the Packers Saturday. I like my prediction.

You got that right! A lot did change huh! Like I said before State and Auburn need to win out to put 2 sec west teams in the championship!

State and auburn win out and they both make playoff. State losses a close one to Bama and then they both win out(if Bama beats LSU) then they both make the play off.
