Headed out tomorrow to make the haul to Mitchell, SD for some pheasants. Each year we go I end up getting all the birds because none of the old men I go with care about preparing/eating pheasant. I've tried a few things here and there, but can never get them just right. I've tried smoking, grilling, and baking. This year I will likely try frying, but any other suggestions/recipes will be much appreciated. I'll be back next Wednesday.

we soaked them in driveby's scuppernong wine and a muscadine hot sauce (found at either indianola pecan house or at the crown, but can't remember which). let them soak a few hours...longer is better. then seasoned with sure shot sids gunpowder, ground mustard, and another peppered season mix. grilled until done.

another way I've done it that was good is injected with vinegar based bbq, rubbed w/bbq rub and grill

Fry like chicken parts...easy and good.Also, drag through egg wash dredge through instant patatoe flakes with parmesan cheese...bake at 350 until golden,brown...30/45 minutes
