Question for the AR guru's

Postby DoublePslayer » Fri Nov 07, 2014 2:53 pm

I'm putting together my 2nd AR15, and need a little help with the gas tube length. I've got a 16.5 barrel from YHM, and the gas port is about 9 inches from the feed ramp. What length tube do I need to get? I tried to find it on the Yankee Hill website, but had no luck. The best I can tell is that I need either a carbine or Mid length tube.

Thanks.

carbine. If you want a longer hand guard get a low profile gas block.. Free float hand guards from YHM come with a barrel nut.

I put a YHM mid length on one of mine but it has a carbine length tube. Specter(sp) length I think is what YHM calls it.
