Am I missing something or did Ole Miss get left out of the top 40?

I searched for Mississippi first, then figured I must have missed it since they probably just put Ole Miss. Then I looked for Bears, and that wasn't there either. Maybe Landsharks or TSUN? I'll keep looking....

They were among others receiving votes...as was Southern Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

So, Ole Miss returns a lot off of a World Series team and is unranked. LSU lost their best players off of a grease fire of a team and is ranked #4? I think we should not take this poll too seriously.

rebs return a bunch but also have some holes that have to be addressed.

loose third baseman, catcher, 2 outfielders and a couple of arms.

pitching we return 2 weekend pitchers along with orvis, bortles. i think the rebs will be fine. cws contender again?... well, we have big holes to fill first. but when it's all said and done we will be a tournament team barring a colasal melt down. I doubt we are host worthy based on what i've seen this fall so far.

Pre-season baseball ranking are by far the most undependable...and college teams grow or burn out over the course of a long season as well...but the pre-season stuff is a good indicator of what schools have coming back + recruiting over last 2 years.

Bold Prediction: LSU will have to travel for a regional and Manieri gets canned at year's end.

Ole Miss losing some key players and should be down some compared to last year...but not top 40? Come on man...
