Anyone have a rec a knife sharpener. Looking for something fairly easy to use. I know how to use a stone but I'm certainly not an expert.

I only use stones and a strop now to sharpen. Before I used what DDM is recommending which is the lansky's. They will do everything you need...
I've found that since I took the time to learn how to sharpen on a stone/stones and then polish/finalize the edge with a good leather strop I've been able to get much sharper blades that maintain their edges longer

get a set of paper wheels.
they are the easiest to use and you can go from absolutely blunt dull blade to a freaky sharp in less than a min.
i'll post a youtube link.

You cannot beat it for an edge or how much it cost. It is what a lot of custom makers use. You can sharpen anything with it and to a degree of "oh my gah."
I have a Lansky. There is no way anyone can convince me that, with time and attention, I cannot get a blade as sharp as it will get. BUT cheaply made or poorly made blades with a lot of twist or bend in them can be a booger. I used to use a stone and strop and it will get a knife as sharp, no doubt. But it will not get one sharpER than a Lansky- not if the Lansky is setup right.
If the Lansky owner thinks he is gonna clamp a knife in it and go to town without knowing the essential concepts of sharpening knives, and come out with a razor blade, then then he's gonna be disappointed. I have an old Case and a Charles May custom that will cut your finger off with ease. My Charles May is too sharp. One mistake and the user's finger is gone. Said user's finger will probably be mine.

There is a reason this method has been used for hundreds of years. Stepping away from stones and strop is stepping in the wrong direction in my opinion. I use a coarse/medium synthetic oil stone, then a ultra fine natural razor hone and finish it on a piece of leather.
I have a diamond lansky system here that will sharpen a knife but takes 3 times as long as a stone and is a clunky pain in the ass to use.

I have the Warthog. I find that metal dust sticks to the vertical guide and then mars, scratches the blades. Not a fan. For the knives I'm proud of, I use the Lansky.
