Anyone know any south delta motels that allow dogs in the rooms (in a crate)? Thanks.

LaQuinta allows pets. There is a LaQuinta in vicksburg. Truth be told, there is probably a LaQuinta in every south delta town.

All hotels with a door that opens to the outside are "dog friendly" in my book.

Egg-zactly. Unless your pup barks, who's going to know unless they catch you putting him in the room in the 10 seconds it takes to get it from the truck, to your door.

Approaches like have been voiced are the reason a lot of hotels post notices at check-in about violation of the pet policy....with cash penalties posted.

A lot of hotels have security cameras also. Walk your mutt right in.

We've had good luck with LaQuinta, Best Western, and Wyngate for being dog friendly. We should know.......we took Momma dog and 2 8-week-old pups 2000 miles.......and 13-weeks old coming home. What a treat!.

To each their own - but I think it's dishonest not to respect to the hotel's pet policy. Go somewhere else if it doesn't work for you.

You're talking hotels. I don't know how they could catch you put a dog in a motel room unless it barks.

They can look at your vehicle. If they don't see a dog in it........they can assume it's in the room.

It's still basically dishonest.

everybody has closed circuit cameras now (some with much better resolution than others, but i could still tell the difference in the upright bipedals as opposed to the lower stature quads). i spent a half hour or so watching the comings and goings of the motel guests while the newly hired front desk clerk was trying to find 2 more double-bed rooms (4 beds for 6 dudes when i checked in). sign next to check-in stated $100 fee for unannounced pets.
