Cool Girls

Please forgive a Monday morning Dad brag, but I have give kudos to our 12 YO daughter and her close friends who are just some really cool, fun-loving girls. For the second year in a row, our daughter wanted to take her buddies with her to "the island" (the in-law's farm) for a couple of days of hanging out on the farm, driving the Ranger, shooting the .22, driving the Ranger, using more words in 48 hours than an entire football team would in an entire year, driving the Ranger, you get the drift.
Last year the weather was cold and windy with freezing rain and sleet in mid-February so we moved the party to late March for hopefully warmer weather. Of course, the temperatures were cold but, thankfully, did not include frozen precipitation.
Just a few pics of the fun and excitement from these girls who put up with muddy boots, mud clogs in their hair, cockleburs on their clothes, and being dirty as part of having some fun.
Never mind a little dirt!

S'more's were a necessity

Releasing Chinese lanterns before a nighttime ride to look for deer and other critters. Those things flew really high and out of sight.

A rare moment of peace and solitude

My wife and I had a great time with these crazy girls. I need a weekend to recover!
