I have bought a gun there but there are as many scams as there are real things on that website. I knew this was a scam after the first email and assumed it would be after seeing the price on the ad. I tried to get as much info as he would give me but all he would give me was his paypal. I spoke with the actual owner of the gun who lives in Michigan not MS. He is currently selling the gun on gunbroker for 3999.00. THe armslist guy stole his description and pics from gunbroker.

First tip off is he was asking $1350 for a $3000 gun. To good to be true

I spoke with a nice gentleman in Michigan that is the owner of a K32 with the serial number on the gun that you are selling.

Just wanted you to know that there is a special corner in hell for people that try to steal others hard earned money. The fact that you would bring a sick child into the conversation is quite sickening.

This is why I thought there was a crack in the stock... You can see what looks like a repaired crack running from the safety to the trigger. May just be the light.

If you would ship it to the ffl for me to look at before payment. It looks like the stock is cracked and I will not purchase without seeing first. I assume that she is not having surgery in Greenville. If you get near Jackson let me know.

I am pretty certain that this has to be a scam but we will see what he says to meeting face to face with the gun.

He's more than likely in Nigeria or somesuch. You're not going to teach them anything. Just recognize a scammer and move on. This happens all the time and its just the way of the internet age. If you're dumb enough to fall for it then you deserve it. They copy and paste all kids of adds all day long.

No one says "kindly" except for the Nigerian scammers.

That site seems to be full of that, from what I've read.

I've never purchased any guns off of there but I have worked out a few trades here and there on once fired brass. It's just like Craigslist in that you have to use your best judgement. If it's too good to be true then it's probably not.

The bad thing is that I think I had to deal with this guy on Craigslist and Ebay as well when I sold my bike. With as much effort as this guy is doing to try and scam people, he could more than likely actually earn a good living by providing real, legitimate services to customers.

So, what are the creditable sites for gun buying?
And also; seems like I've heard some folks talk about gun trading / buying on facebook.
I'm not on FB, so i'm guessing I can't participate, correct?

I have bought 5-6 guns off gunbroker.com in the last few years and never had an issue or felt uneasy about a purchase. The process of a sale is extremely similar to an eBay type transaction. They are based out of the Atlanta area so that is somewhat more assuring to me at least.
