Prayers sent for those officers, family, friends and coworkers.

Sad situation. Unfortunately our LEOs are becoming targets.

There is a democrat in laurel that posted on Facebook that "we got em"!! Mocking the shooting of the officers. And soon her facebook page was littered with people going off. And then her mother defended her and so her page was berated. Also the poor girl was terminated from her job within hours of her posting that nonsense. I'm sure she will sue based on freedom of speech etc. What is this world coming to???? Now every officer has a crosshairs on their back every time they suit up. What a shame. Not enough money in the world for me to do what they do with what all is going on now. Hats off to the ones that do and thank you for all you do!!!!!!!

Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences.

People don't realize that the public condemnation (even before all the evidence comes out) and targeting of police officers could (and in some cases already) have a HUGE negative impact on public safety. When officers start to second guess their decisions or when police departments start imposing policies like multiple police unit responses before any officer can engage a suspect your going to have more officers hurt and slower response times which will lead to fewer new recruits and fewer officers on the streets.. We don't need a timid or understaffed police force.. They already risk their lives for very little money.. If we can't stop this anti police rhetoric and targeting of police officers soon, we are headed for a lot more trouble...

Hattiesburg has a terribly corrupt mayor and the Rev Kenneth Fairley is still around causing trouble. The mother of the killer is already making excuses and saying the HPD targets blacks. Don't be surprised if this gets ugly.

If "white cops are targeting / killing blacks" riots happen after some black thugs murdered 2 cops, one of which was a black man, then this world literally has no hope.

But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised Al, Jesse and the rest of the race hustlers could make their flock of morons believe they should riot - the people that listen to those agitators are literally too stupid to think for themselves so if Al wants a riot, Al gets a riot.

What's the story on this just a traffic stop gone wrong or what. I see they are arresting folks down there but don't see a story.
