The family and I are heading to Nashville in July. We are going to see the US men's national soccer team play at LP field. The match is on the 3rd so we will also be there for the 4th of July festivities.
Anybody got any insight or suggestions on where to stay that is easily accessible to LP field and downtown fun. Also, has anyone ever been to the 4th celebration there and have any insight. Anything there that a 9 and 7 year old would enjoy?
I've been to Nashville only a few times and never downtown.

Nashville is amazing on the 4th!!!!! They have a wing festival all over the city at different places. Live music, many different tents with wings for sale. It is super fun.
Scratch Hot Wing Festival, looks like dates have changed.

Downtown is great fun but not sure about taking kids there at night. Some great eats as well. Kinda reminds me of Beale street but bigger.

On the 4th, the Hot Chicken Festival is great if you like hot chicken or have never tried it. The fireworks show at LP is one of the best you will see and Broadway will be closed off for the bands. The Hilton Garden Inn on upper Broadway is convenient but away from the crowds of Lower Broadway. When I lived there, my parents stayed at the Holiday Inn on West End and it was also just renovated.
