Surveying Cost
Surveying Cost
Anyone have an idea what an estimated cost per mile should be surveying flat ground. Mainly open ground (pastures, etc.) with some scrub shrub mixed.

Re: Surveying Cost
I am going to have to get about 22 acres surveyed this fall as well. I think it will be Metes and bounds, but not 100% sure. Any estimates?

Peewee,
For a boundary survey on fairly open ground, a good place to start is about $0.35/linear foot of perimeter. There are variables such as proximity to established monuments (section corners), deed conflicts, etc., but this should give you some idea.

Re: Surveying Cost
Father just had a survey done in Rankin county, 29 acres for $2,850. This is a wooded tract. Got a price quote this week on 20 acres in Humphreys county for $3,500 (open tract). Surveyor is expecting encroachment issues on the Humphreys county tract and mentioned more work/time due to the encroachment.
