So if I just purchased the $150 permit does that guarantee I get to hunt?

They said on the radio yesterday It was designed as first come first served. You should have permission to hunt.

Yes sir you do. I wasn't fortunate to get one. The site was so slow and by the time I finally got in the section I needed was sold out. Ronnie I have boat and will travel. :D

It took about 5 minutes for the site to load for me. They need more bandwidth or more oomph on that web server of theirs.

I dont get into the whole gator hunting much anymore, but if they want some good advise for their system, they need to make it to where someone has to use their boat registration in order to get a tag and that would cut out 50% of the tags going to a bunch of folks who dont even have boats.

The system is screwed. Was in the site waiting on 0900 to go, then none in my office (3 of us) could get in.

I couldn't get in either. I had multiple computers trying and it was acting as though the website had crashed. I could finally get in at 9:14 and WC, SW, and RB were all aready sold out. I picked a zone that wasn't and then as I went to the next step, it went to a screen that said http://www.mdwfp.com was not correct. So, I didn't get one either.

Ronnie, which zone did you get?

Ross Barnett, I'm sure their web server wasn't up to the task after all it's a government agency we're talking about here. It is purely luck on who got through. I knew it would be like though because of the volume that would be hitting their servers.

The actual site hosting the tags handled the bandwidth no problem. The issue was MDWFP's website- it apparently couldn't handle the traffic. They finally pushed a direct link that bypassed their site at 10 after or so.

One would think that someone at the department would have thought about that weeks ago leading up to the traffic on the site.

When I heard Stump talking about this yesterday on SuperTalk, I figured it would not go as smooth as he described so chose not to even try.
I wonder if their server can handle all the complaints coming in?

i got mine, it was simply due to go straight to the licenses link vs trying to go through their instructions. it froze up once in the purchase process and I had to redo. it was a cluster. I'm sure there's plenty of unhappy campers.

SW only because my friend read off the gov server the actual license purchanse. the server performed smoothly. the MDWFP site did not.
