My little brother and I were woken up by my Dad who brought us into the living room. There, my Mom (who was expecting my baby brother) held my little sister, and we all five watched the TV and heard those immortal words - "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

My 3 year old self was with the rest of our family in front of a little B&W tv watching this. I was too small to know what it meant but it made an impression on me just from the reactions of the older folks. Same when Hank Aaron broke the Babe's HR record.

In Tripoli Lybia as a 2yr old. My dad work for Mobil Oil Co and we spent 5 yrs there during Kadafi's take over. My older sisters would sit on the roof and watch tracers fly over the house and Dad would have kids ask him how to load there weapon.

I'm 48 and had just turned 2 when the landing happened. One of my earliest memories even though I was only 2. My folks made such a big deal out of it trying to make an impression so we would hopefully remember.

Momma probably cut the front light on or hollered down the street to tell me to come in for supper. Popped a wheelie over the broken slab in the driveway and pulled off a perfect power slide on my otasco flying O with the ape hangers and banana seat. Pulled the medicine bottle out of my pocket to show off the lightnin bugs i just caught, slammed it on the counter, asked what was for supper and complained that some other program was on the black and white console tv instead of Bonanza!! It sure is fuzzy looking, is there a storm coming in?
Who are these guys dressed up in puffy suits jumping on the trampoline???????????????
That's probably how it happened................maybe.
