She gone. The town's only grocery store is now gone after a fire quickly overtook the whole store. It is a total loss after about 9 departments fought very, very hard in the oppressive heat last night. EMTs on scene gave about 50 liters of fluids to firefighters who were overcome by the heat. I know of one fire fighter transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
This is maybe an hour after we got on scene. The cooking oils row would not go down with out a fight. You couldn't see 2 feet in the door when we got there.
About 930PM Greenwood's ladder truck arrived. They had taken a backhoe and opened up the West wall to make an attack on that side as there was no way to get to it otherwise.

It is definitely going to be tough on them having only one grocery store there my wife's mother works there a lot of people are devastated over it especially the ones who depended on that store to pay their bills.

Agreed. Everyone will have to go to Grenada or Greenwood now. Even tougher on those in Vaiden who lost their grocery store to fire several years ago who were having to go to Winona.

Touche.
10 to 1 they didn't make it to daylight this morning with the crowd that was out there. That parking lot was a circus. You would have thought it was the first of the month. I guess they thought when the fire was out they would get to go in and pick through what they wanted.

There is a grocery store in Kilmichael that some will go to but the elderly and others that shopped there because they couldn't travel far, it's gonna be tough. My wife's best friend is the store manager. He is taking it rough. The whole town was a circus. I've never seen that much traffic in town before. People were parked in the high school, bank, and tractor dealership parking lots just watching. Btw, the building is still smoking.
