Personally, I killed more ducks in '97 than any other year.

Yeah, I just brought it up because so many on here keep very detailed logs that go back for many years and was just wondering what your observations were on those seasons where El Niño was a factor or if it even was one at all.

Heard yesterday on the weather channel that El Niño effects were finally showing up with hotter temps and dry weather in the US. Not what I wanted.

it has been our experience up here in yankee land that it is having a big effect on the ducks. We are still very warm, have had only one overnight coating of ice- and long terms forecast is for highs every day to be in the 40's through Christmas. That is just unheard of for us. The weather fronts still come through, but just not as strong. Also seems to be translating into more rain in the west and south. Makes for a tough year.
