Ha Ha, I'm always cooler shopping. I just can't make myself spend the $$$ for one of those crazy expensive ones.

Yeah, that's why the RTIC intrigued me. It's half the price.

I meant better price than Yeti or other of the popular brands...$329 is less than $379 and at my prices I can get lower on Bison than other brands when I quote.
I wasn't intending to comparing to RTIC

Something doesn't make sense on their pricing, I'm investigating and I'll post anything I find out....
Tiaga is a new molded cooler company that has an interesting product....

I just spoke to someone at the company....basically they are pre-ordering one big shipment from overseas and they are filling that order ahead of time. they aren't setting up distributor accounts or retailers from what I was sold...At this time they didn't know if and when they'll be in stock and when they'd get more after the first shipment dropped.
In my opinion, based on the info the lady on phone gave me, they are getting a cheap mold produced in likeness of Yeti from a cheap competing factory (Yeti, Canyon, and K2 come from same factory) overseas and filling a huge shipment that is largely pre-sold. The rest will drop ship from their website. They won't be able to provide any type customer service or warranty services on them and I expect they won't compare to the Yeti, BISON, Grizzly, etc. brands in quality...but they might we'll see.

The price makes you wanna bite on that deal. I see no pic of hinges and inside of cooler. It says 3in walls. How thick are yetis? I'm skeptical of anything that much cheaper though. Wish i could see it in person.

Dovetailing off what Camlock said, they are charging for the order when the order is made and not as an authorization. When I make an order from Amazon or some other online retailer they might run a memo charge that falls off after three days per Visa and Mastercard rules. In this case they are running the charge and shipping the product months later. There's 60 days to dispute a Mastercard or Visa charge. If they go out of business, the product ends up being junk, or the get sued to oblivion; your out in the cold. That also tells me they are using current customers funds as operating capital.
While the price is amazing; there's enough here to make me wait on pulling the trigger.
Edited to change Cwink to Camlock

I love my Pelican. As far as function and price, I don't think they can be beat. Weight however, is obscene on the Pelicans. People complain about how much Yeti's weigh. My Pelican is even worse. But $200 of a Pelican 35 (same storage as a Yeti 45) is why I couldn't pass it up.
