From one of the board's only LSU fans, congrats on the decisive win. I can only hope that this arsewhooping will usher in a new coach on the Bayou. It is long since time for the Retard from Red Stick to be given his walking papers.

I agree, time for change. But Alleva and the administration has completely botched this operation. Created a dumpster fire.

People keep saying that, but I am not sure what it means. Alleva has not said anything other than they are waiting to after the season to discuss Miles. The other option is say he is fine and then fire him (which seems worse to me). There is a rumor that Alleva dropped a story that Miles was gone to the press before the OM game...but that is a rumor on message boards.

Here is the deal...Miles has under-performed since 1/9/12. He is #6 in SEC wins since then among coaches. He is 0-10 as the underdog since that game. He cannot develop a QB.

Could things get worse after firing him? Yep...much worse. Are things ever going to get better by keeping him? Highly unlikely.

People bashed Florida last year for canning Muschamp...how'd that work out? People blasted Michigan for firing their coach and being coachless for over a month. That worked out too. No one remembers the belly-aching now in either scenario.

Miles is 1-2 vs Ole Miss and Arky in the last 3. 0-5 versus Bama.

It is time and I am not sure what else the administration could have done differently - especially with rumor mongering among the BR press and message boards.

From what I have heard and read, the leak for the Advocate story came from inside the LSU Athletic Administration. That is why I think they messed up. To leak that type of information does no good if you aren't going to go through with it.

But I also agree the media blew up over this one article and ran with it with apparently no reliable or verified sources. I think if Alleva came out with a strong statement that this story was false and that he will evaluate after the season, it could have put out some of the fires. His "no comment" only fueled the speculation.
