Who is out there finding them? Here is some videos of some of my finds from April and May. May was a good month! A couple 2+ inch hard rain washes them out.

Great stuff. I like points - everybody likes points - but it is cool to see the tools like thumb scrapers, as well.

I'm sure you been asked and answered this several times, but how much ground on average are you covering in these videos? Same field? Dozen fields? 100/1000 acres. Thanks.

I think in those videos I was probably on about 6 or so different sites. If I don't have a lot of time I go straight to the main village site (place where I find the most points on a site) and hunt. With more time I range out from the main site and often find good points probably just because you are still close to the main site. I hunt several fields but many sites I know about are out of cultivation or in no-till practices. Around here, most sites I hunt are no more than about 10 acres but there may be 3 or more sites on the 200+ acre tract. I do know a place in southern TN where a 100+ acre field is loaded and every inch should be hunted. Place must have been injun New York City thousands of years ago.
Sites are almost always on the high ground closest to the old water sources. You must have a close water source to live and you must live on high ground so when that water source floods you don't have to move your village. When walking you can also see the ground turn brown to black in color due to thousands of years of habitation on old established sites. When you find tools like hammerstones, awls, drills, gravers and scrappers you are standing in their village. You might find a point anywhere but tools stay at home just like your tools stay in your garage. I walk for hours if the field conditions are good (i.e. deep plow and good hard rain). Need good pair of boots. I like self cleaning knee high muck boots. No deep treads because they hold to much mud.
