Worst hunting experience

Postby mshunter77 » Tue Jul 31, 2018 7:46 pm

So the thread about hunting the river got me thinking about bad hunting experiences. What’s your worst one? One of the first that popped in my head was when the bubble gut hit me and I leaned up a bank to do my business and got covered in fire ants. Not fun!

I got that feeling one day and the nearest dry ground was about 400 yards away. There was a stump that was barely sticking out of the water about 20 yards behind us, so that was were business went down. Thankfully it was before the days of camera phones.

I’ve balanced on a floating log and shat at the same time. I’ve climbed up a lock on in flooded timber and shat from 20ft up while hanging off the side. Camera phones were around then...

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

I'll buy a case of beer for anyone that can produce a photo of this. I bet that turd has some velocity when it his the water. Nobody had to worry about motion in the dekes for 10 minutes after that.

That toilet was at the blind next door to us on some public ground last season. We rode over to take a look one morning when they weren’t home. If I were to use that toilet, regardless of its structural integrity, I’d have to take all phones, cameras and filming devices with me to avoid internet infamy.

With you as a matter of fact. Just wasn't the Metro.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I have equally if not more compromising photos of the person that took pics, so he knows where we stand.
And I can’t remember the last time I had a solid turd during duck season. It sounded more like someone dumping out a gallon of curdled milk.

Worst hunting experience...4 wheeler wreck on way to stand. Hit gravel wash...not paying attention...broken orbital bone and destroyed rifle. Not a good day.

That’s a rough one. We were doing some work at the camp this weekend and three of us barely missed a big wash hidden by tall grass. It will be marked by a t post soon.
