1) As far as numbers being killed worst season probably ever in the delta. (I have been hunting same area for about 20 yrs)
2) A lot of people from Georgia duck hunts ( a lot)
3) Numbers of ducks being killed have been going down for the last 5 yrs or so as a whole in my area.
4) A lot of people from Georgia duck hunts ( a lot)
5) I enjoyed every hunt I went on this season but would have loved to been able to scratch out a few more.
6) Bright side we only got skunked one time in a very tough year
7) A lot of people from Georgia duck hunts ( a lot )

The youth hunt looks like it could have some potential for this upcoming weekend.

Worst season for me in 44 yrs............Im glad that nightmare is over. I hope they all:
1)get caught in this polar vortex and freeze on the ground
2)the ones that do survive, hope they die of the plague
3)the sob's that make it through that, hope they get molested by a horny rooster.
4) the ones that survive that, hope they fly south, hit a newly constructed wall and get eaten by a caravan of hungry central americans!!!!!

That was pretty good.
There are a lot of people from GA who duck hunt. I don't begrudge them. What does @#$%* me off is throwing crazy money at leases. I get it, you ride bye something see a few birds and you want it. You go talk to the farmer thinking you might get the duck killing spot of all duck killing spots. You offer him $10-15K over the going rate. What's the farmer do? He goes back to his current guys, who he known for years and says some XXXhole from GA just offered me $15k over what you guys have been paying. Your lease ends up going up $12k because he doesn't want to lease to some XXXhole from GA . I don't begrudge the farmer. He's trying to make more money. What would of been smarter, is to tell the farmer you want to know who the leaseholder was, cause you want to get in with them. Then you would have found out that what you saw was not ducks, it was pelicans and cowbirds. You might say, that's just market economics. But, it's not. It's just XXXhole's from GA. I think we can all agree duck hunting in the MS Flyway has been in decline for years. Prices have become unsustainable. Public land is not well managed and overcrowded as a result hunter participation has been dropping. It's all because XXXhole's from GA can't identify cowbirds from ducks.

LOL I'm not beating on people from GA. There are great people there. But, it's gotten out of hand.

Thinking back on it, I griped to these guys about shot chasing but at the same time told them my group was hunting that hole even if he did beat me there.... good times on the public grounds! Lol
