'05 Honda Rancher 350 4x4......dark green.
My timberwolf is in the shop, has been for 3 weeks, still waiting on parts that will be in around the 1st of jan, and got customers coming up from la to hunt next week so it had to be done.......was just prolonging the inevitable.
$4700 tax, title and all at Brookhaven Honda, great guys to do business with and recommend them to anyone in that area. I wanted to get one through Greenville Motor Sports, but they are out of the way when you stay in the interstate every week, just happened to catch the glimpse of a billboard with their info on it, talked dad into stopping by there.........best price of the 5 dealers I've contacted. Payments are less than $80/month.

I bought a 2004 Rancher last year, great bike, but..water will leak in thru the pull rope if not sealed and into the engine. Mine blew up 2 weeks ago, my neighbor's a couple of weeks before. There is a plate by some MFG ?? that will eliminate the pull rope and seal it properly. Good hunting and good luck with your new bike.

Ok, I read something about this on the board a few weeks ago, but those posts were lost in the hack. If I buy this plate will I still be able to use the pull rope if I need to? Reason I'm asking is I bought a manual shift bike, not the electric shift or auto trans.

Paying cash was an option, but not when you are trying to build credit. I've got some credit cards in my name, pretty much paid off a $10K student loan, paying truck and insurance........and I still couldn't get the rancher financed in just my name, dad had to co-sign. Dad could've gone ahead and paid cash and probably could've got another $300 off of it, but it was going to be my bike and doing that wouldn't help my credit rating.
Paying just the $80 would be stupid cuz of the 6.9% interest, but when you plan to pay $120......which is a payment and a half each month, knocks most of the interest off and it's paid for in little over 2 yrs.

I learned quick with that student loan how to manage credit and debt. $10,000 loan financed for 10 yrs, 120 payments of $90.......$30 of each payment went toward interest. Well, I did that the first 2 months, and I said to heck with that.....started paying anywhere from $540-900 each month depending on how much I worked plus overtime. In a year I've paid $8,000 on it, owe less than $2,000......average like $5-10 month interest depending on when I make a payment and for how much.

Pull the rope out and put silicone around rope and around handle as you put it back in place. After it sits put a little more around hole and handle and ride it. It doesn't hurt to check your oil pretty often anytime you are in a lot of water.
