the only thing to really complain about is the free throw shooting and the refs, but duke always gets the refs

10 FT's missed, can't afford it when the refs only give you so little when it comes to Duke.

I am from NC! state should be rpoud of the way they played. The had a good game plan and it almost worked out for them. There was a lot of missed calls for BOTH sides, that is part of the game. I for one was impressed with the State played!

The UNC fans tried to help us alot, and did at parts of the game. But you could tell when they'd get mad when fouls weren't getting called. They've seen it all way too many times before. It's something about the Duke mystique.....I dunno. No way that Williams and Randolph finished that game without fouling out. Just found out that the worst ref in the sec was refereeing the game.....Karl Hess.

Well, I'm not a State fan but an a SEC fan. Does Billy Packer have kids at Duke. I couldn't stand his color analysis. I think the tone was set early in the game when no fouls were called on Duke under States basket when the big guys were trying to score. But in the end the free throws coulda won the game for them.

the unc fans did just what the duke fans would have done. I am a true blue duke man, even the year when coach k had a hurt back and we couldn't even beat clemson. I would pull for the russians over unc and they would against duke. Bama fans would also pull for anyone playing auburn. That is why college ball is so much better than the pros! it is all for the love of the game. it ain't just billy packer, you ever heard dick vital talk about duke? I don't know what it is all about, But it gets on my nerves too!

my take::

first gary.... only credited with two turnovers... however he had six shots blocked when he penetrated the lane.. those shots that were blocked IMHO were just bout the same thing as a turnovers... when he goes under the goal and starts double pumping and all that chhiittt bad things happen too often... i don't thank gary is anything more than a role player.. maybe gary has a future in basketball with the and 1 tour...

free throws:: well its the same ol tune fiddle and guitar...

marcus campbell... had the size never reached near the potential he possessed..

and what bout the refs... it was a grindit ruff tumble affair..

I can't believe we lost that game. But, talking about the refs.....I did see Lorenze Roberts walk about 20 feet one time and not get called for it. But, on the other hand Cambell had an wonderful block and got a foul called on him.

I know firmly believe that Billy Packer had replaced Dickie V in that relationship.
