i think that the reason we lost is b/c of GARY IRVIN that little chit lost it for us. you dont go in with 30 sec left 6 points down and shoot a 2 and miss it. atlest miss a 3. he has lost a few games for us this year. he needs to learn to quit playing new york street ball. He has to slow down some. Plus some of you are right we have to get some boys to shoot freethrows.

i call him jitterbugg... everytime he comes down the court you hold your breath and hope for the best..

for every goood play jitterbugg makes he makes a bonedheaded play...

band news:: the way things look right now he'll start for the dawgs next year....

he's at best strictly a role player.. good for a change of pace and thats bout it...

Gary Ervin didn't lose that game last night of us..........he was doing what he was told to do......push the ball and drive into the lane to get fouls called on Williams and Randolph. I know of three times that he got mugged and there wasn't one foul called. No way in hell that those 2 don't foul out in that game...but it's been like that all season for duke. We got thrown to the foul 3 times that I can remember, only once was duke called for a foul. We lost this game because of 3 reasons:

(1) Missed 10 FT's

(2) 2 min stretch late in the 2nd half when we broke out the run n gun and Duke had no answer for it..........was just hoping and waiting for the ball to go out of bounds for a media timeout.

(3) Stopped Redick and Williams but forgot about Ewing....Frazier can't guard 2 guys at the same time and Power was always wanting to drop down into the paint area.

State lost the game for one reason - Duke is just a much better team.

Unfortunately, I date a girl whose passion is ACC basketball and I am forced to watch all these yahoos in pajamas on an all-too-often basis. Duke played about as bad as Duke can play and still won. The only way I thought State could win is if they played their absolute best and Duke played their absolute worst. Duke did their job, but State just didn't have enough.

State fans need to hope that Ellis doesn't have a good McDonald's All-American game. That's selfish, but look what happened to Bender. That'll take care of Ervin for next year.

Monta coming in won't remove Ervin from the PG spot..........Monta is a SG, doesn't have the ball skills to be the PG.

neither does irvin he sucks. he would be a good player for a new york street ball team and thats it. he truly sucks. he should be called butterfingers.. i am a die hard state fan but he sucks.

At times Ervin did suck.....but not last night. As for him doing the "And 1" deal with Hot Sauce and Professor.........doesn't have nowhere the ball skills nor street skills to hang with those guys.

i have t agree with the and 1 thing but only scoring 1 out of 8 shots is crappy. shane powers sucked to but he was nursing a ankle.
