I went ridin today out in holly bluff in some serious mud. Well i drive a 03 polaris 500 H.O. After couple mud holes it started spittin n spuderin, first checked the air filter, but it was dry as it could be. Dont think it has water in the gas, might though. But it idles fine, as soon as you give it gas it goes dead. let it sit for 30 or so minutes and it'll crank up and drive it couple hundred yards fine. then jus goes dead again. Wha yall think it is? water in gas? or jus trash in carburator? jus lookin for some help, thanks

My Yamaha does that from time to time. I have an airline from the carbo that will sometimes clog up and will cause this problem. Also, dirt dobbers can clog up airflow so make sure you check all air intake.

Drain your carb. Turn your gas off and loosen the screw and let some gas flow out.

My yamaha does this sometimes also. It will ruin fine for an hour or so and then it will start the sputtering and want to go dead for about 10 minutes - then it is back to fine. having the choke all the way out makes it run better when it is in its acting up mode. Is this a sprk plug problem - or is it some debris in the carb??

Clean carb check jets and float. Sounds like it is just all gummed up. Would check plug first to see if it was fowled. Worked as a 4-wheeler mechanic for a while and my best advice is buy a honda!

It sounds like a sensor problem. It sounds like you bike is thinking or is getting to hot and there for the brain of the system is telling it to shut down. But I really have no clue I have never heard of such.

make sure to clean out your radiator real good, sometimes they will clog up and cause your bike to over heat

I used to have a Polaris and it did something like that a couple times. I just put in a new spark plug and it would run fine.

Buy a Honda, but if you can't it is a fuel filter or carb . Filter would be my bet.
