fact: last year msu finished 9th in the sec (baseball).. this year barley slid into 7th.. now what if the next two years are similar record wise. around 8th place in the sec...

how long do we wait before we make a move and a change in the baseball program

Polk will leave at his own descretion. It's like he said, you won't see total domination in the sec anymore by 2-3 teams. Everyone with the exception of UK and UGA are damn near equal. We had some odd 8 teams within a 1-2 games of each other in the standings.

Oh, I'd say if Ole Piss sweeps our booty again next year, something will happen!

Ole Miss won't sweep us next season, won't have the players to do it. They are going to lose so many to the draft it's pitiful.

So, we won't lose any, but does that mean we'll have anything??? You make the call....

Why you think all of our juniors are playing so bad this season.....huh?

So the scouts won't be interested in taking them in the draft so they can all come back for their senior season and dominate everybody.

ooooohhhhhhh, that's why they played just good enough to make the tournament.....they gonna ball out starting tomorrow, because the scouts probably won't really care about them anymore. '

By Golly, it's BRILLIANT!!!!

i don't know how equal we are right now boys.. think bout it this way.. lets look at what we did against the top teams in the east and west...

lsu lost 2 of 3
um lost 4 of 4
tenn lost 2 of 2
florida lost 2 of 3

the last 4 weekend series we played .. thats 12 games we went 4 & 8.. that exactly what i had predicted.. was hoping to go at least 6 & 6..

I see what you are saying, but I see some games there that we had won and blew them with stupid crap. The main thing that helped us was the fact that we didn't get to play the 3rd game against UT, had one less loss than everyone else.

Where ya want me to start? I was 7 at the time but still remember that team, found their baseball cards when I went back to my hometown recently. Bobby joined the team in 88. The bad thing about relating the '87 team to this team........the msu website shows that the '87 won both the SEC overall title and tourney title, but they did not have one all-team player on that team until the tourney.

Jody Hurst OF
Burke Masters 2B Frosh
Richie Grayum DH Frosh
Dan Paradoa OF Tourney MVP
Brad Hildreth SS
Pete Young 3B Frosh All-American
John Mitchell 1B
Randy Abrams C
Tommy Raffo 1B Frosh
Jon Shave 3B Frosh
Nelson Arriette P
David McMahon P
Mike Martin P
Terry Ellis P

I would have to say that was one of my favorite teams in 1987. My older brother and Pete Young where roomates. I can remeber being a kid going to the river with most of these guys. Richie Grayum was prob my favorite. That guy was crazy. What year was it that Nelson got hurt? Wasent it his freshman year?
