That would have to be some type of record. You know yall could not do any type of trash talkin if that happens. We got plenty of pitching. Bats came on strong today. Looks like Moo U is going home runner up thanks to the big Red and Blue

Yep Yep Yep need to slow down. One reason this game might just be rained out and have to be played Monday. I know State did learn to hit this week. Lots of singles against LSU (I think 16). Got the crucial hits today against Tenn. But I still don't think there pitching is going to slow the bats of those REBS

I'm not sure how the championship will the played if there is a rainout tomorrow. It might not take place with regionals in some places starting thursday.

Wouldn't it e a bitch to get rained out and MSU
and Mississippi be named co-champions. State
will be named champs because we're undefeated
and Mississippi has a loss in the tournament.

Weather report:

In B'ham raining... hard. I don't think anybody would not want to play the game. If its done like it has been in the past, the game will not be rescheduled for Monday. Several years ago State had to split a championship with LSu because of a rainout.

that was 1990, main difference then was that both teams were hosting a regional, so they were guaranteed a spot in post season play.

We are basically guaranteed one, state isn't (although i'd find it hard to believe them not making it into a regional somewhere....), if the game is called it would go before a vote of all the AD's of the conference to decide the champion, since we're pretty much assured a regional and spot in post season play, the "title" would be voted to State to assure more SEC teams in play... that being said, the weather is supposed to get better as the afternoon goes on, we can start as late as 5..... so....

bottom line, the SEC is about $$$ they're gonna find the way that makes them the most... the more teams they have in the tourney, the better off they are...

There is a 4-hour window to get the game in, but we know how accurate forecasts are this time of year. In the event of rain, here is the procedure according to the SEC official I asked:
(The game will not start after 6:00, period. It CAN re-start after 6:00 if there is a reasonable chance of completing the game.
(In event of rainout there will be no Monday play at all. The tourney ends today, that's final. This is necessary because the NCAA selection/seeding committee MUST have all info by this evening to settle seeds to announce Monday morning.
(In event of rainout there will be Co-Champions, and the number of losses in bracket play is meaningless.
