enjoyed watching all the games.. very good baseball.. it is a shame somebody had to lose.. in the end i found myself rooting for miss..

the bad news for um fans.. you all know deep down in your hearts that its gonna be very difficult to field a team that was as talented and as deep as this team..

the good news: i said difficult not impossible..

you gotta give credit to coach bianco he has built a fine program..

yep,

with what is coming back i think we can be competitive, now before gh22 says anything, i said competitive, i didn't say win 48 games.... we'll be young, especially pitching wise, but have alot of top notch talent coming in and coming back, just have to see how it all plays out......

I knew yall were cheering for us     I fell the same way about state until they get into a tournament with teams from far away then I cheer for them. I just love to see these states with so much talent come into MS. and lose. That is just my opinion.

I'm proud of my Rebs. They were not intimidated at all by Texas. Oddly, at times, it appeared that it was the CWS experienced and seasoned Longhorns who were shaken at bit, especially during the big inning that UM had toward the end of Game 1 to break it open against Texas' top relief pitcher ---Cox. But, Texas is very talented and makes very few mistakes. The Rebs just did not take advantage of some great opportunities to win games 2 and 3, by failing to get timely hits with runners on base, time and time again. And it was not just one or two players, but pretty much the entire starting lineup had missed opportunites along the way that would have given the Rebs the series. So close, yet so far.

The Rebs made very few mistakes fielding and base running, but the ones that were made were magnified due to the talent and great play of Texas. It was indeed a battle. And if we can go toe to toe with a team like Texas, we can hold our own with anyone.

Now, the challenge for Bianco will be to keep the momentum going and develop a tradition at UM of going to regionals every season. If UM can keep making it back to the post-season, eventually, we will make it to the CWS. Once in the CWS, anything can happen, including a national title.
