Bengal wasp spray is the best we have found but the best and yall probably want believe me till you try it but HOT water and soap will kill them the quickist.

What kind of ratio of water to soap do you use? I've never heard of this, very curious.

I got my limit late yesterday afternoon with some bengal. I think nesting conditions have given them a great hatch this year. Maybe we can stay with the liberal framework. Really, the key is to wait until late afternoon when they are ALL on the nest. That seems to be most effective, and I've never given them the soap and water treatment, but I will be trying that.

Yall probably wont believe me, but when i was younger my grandpaw would take his hat, reach up, and pull a whole red wasp nest down with as many as 20 or more wasp on it. Saw him do it for years, and i have never got the nerve to do it. Once he tossed it over on the ground he would go over to the next one and do the same. He would probably take down about 4 -5 nest every week. He didnt spray them cause he was going to use the larvi as bait. Said it was one of the best baits around along as the bait was alive.

What are you spraying that H2O and soap with? Big fella like me can't run so fast so I need to start with as much distance as possible!

Used to singe them with a rolled up newspaper, then get the larvae for bream bait. Bream love them like nothing else! Always could count on finding a good nest in the blackberry bushes that was big enough for a trip to the pond. Burned the whole dang pasture one summer while trying to get me one. Papaw was not amused!

Hot soapy water will definitely do the trick. That eliminator from walmart is fun to use,too. It should be called terminator,drop em like a rock. I like to spray them in flight.

we always sprayed them with diesal.

chop, i really dont have a certain ratio that i use. just put some dawn/joy (a good bit) in a big cup and then add water. slowly walk up to the nest and throw. make sure that you can get away if need be.try to get the whole nest with one shot as they will be on alert if you have to come back.

i know an old fellar that will reach up and take down a nest with his hand and not get stung.. can't figure it out but he does it.. seen him do it several times.. wasp larvae are great bait but not worth the risk..
we use a wasp spray at work that does great.. by the time they hit the ground they don't even twitch.

I have always found that having someone else try to eradicate the wasps works best for me.

starter fluid works good, and its got a good long reach on the spray!
