SEC Coaches Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team
SEC Coaches Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team Announced
07/20/2005
Florida, Auburn and Tennessee lead with double figure selections
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -– The Florida Gators led all teams with 12 players selected to the 2005 Southeastern Conference Coaches Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team, announced today.
Defending SEC champion Auburn had 11 players selected followed by Tennessee with 10 each Alabama and Georgia with nine each. There were first, second and third-teams selected for this year's coaches pre-season squad.
LSU had eight players selected to the three squads followed by Mississippi State with seven and Ole Miss had six. South Carolina had four players selected while Arkansas and Kentucky had three players each and Vanderbilt had two.
Auburn led all schools with six first-team selections followed by Tennessee with four while Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU had three each. Vanderbilt had two players selected to the first-team while Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina each had one first-team selection.
Ten of the 12 SEC teams had first-team selections and every conference school has representatives on the All-SEC squad.
Auburn senior offensive tackle Marcus McNeill was the only unanimous choice for first-team pre-season All-SEC by the league's coaches. Since coaches cannot vote for their own players, the Decatur, Ga. native, was listed on 11 of the 12 ballots.
This is the second year of the SEC Coaches Pre-Season All-SEC Football Team. It is released in advance of the 2005 SEC Football Media Days, which will be held July 27-29, at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala.

This may not be the year *some* teams want to play Vandy.
Jay Cutler should be first team. It's a shame that boy is at Vandy. He'd be a star at any other SEC school! He could make several college teams VERY good this season, just not Vandy. God would be hardpressed to make them a .500 team...

i wouldn't even consider it an upset this year
i won't even try to argue that......

and, gh22...... all you have is a proven RB..... your HC has yet to prove anything... Your QB has yet to prove anything.... etc etc

quick question though... not a jab... all my state friends keep talking about how the o-line is so horrible, etc etc, yet you have 2 linemen that made this list, just curious your take gh22 and bigwater....
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....
We'll continue to be mascotless, which is embarassing, but anything you hear is a rumor? No mascot...
As far as our football team, State fans can jab at us all you want about our new coach and players and question marks, and we might suck this year, but yall are just the same the only difference in Ole Miss and Miss State right now, is the yall have sucked for 4 years we've only sucked for 1.

brian anderson isn't a bad player at all, he's been really good when he's healthy, McNeil on the other hand is probably over rated for the third straight year, he never has lived up to his potential although he has stayed out of trouble for a whole year. other than that the dawgs just have no depth on the o-line, they've got kids that didn't even start in high school working in on 3rd string rotations.......good thing that omar is fast.

work hard, play hard
i think... no i know that we suck!!!
i have no faith in the football program...
hell i'm so despondent that if we go on to win another 2-3 games this year i say we move to conference usa.. what the hell!!!!
oh yea i have no faith in meathead either... i don't hink um will be worth a chit as well!!!
ahhh...
heres the final telling stat:
my brother looked and me bout 4 years ago.. and said....
"ya mean you'd miss a dove hunt for this chit"" r u crazY!!!!!
