Looking for a 20 gauge youth model for my son. I would prefer a Remington 870 but would also so consider a Winchester youth. Thanks guys.

I picked up a nice little Savage 20 guage pump with achuchoke for my godson a few years back paid $100.00(used)
Great gun, I thought I saw one in W.Memphis at a shop the other day, I'll check and see if it's still there.
Other than that I see alot of youth pumps at gun shows.
Hope this helps,

The day my son was born I bought him a youth model 870. Cost $230 at Walmart (18mos ago). The wife sent me for diapers and nursing pads, and I also got him the other REAL necessity (a shotgun). I still have the receipt - it makes quite a conversation piece.

I just bought my wife an 1100 youth model "Turkey Gun". It is a sweet shooting little gun.

I shoot a 20 ga. 1100LT for quail/dove that I highly recommend. It's one sweet little gun, and should be good for youth or ladies. I'm neither, by the way, so it works pretty good for middle-aged white males, too.

another option...I had looked around for a 20 ga. for my 10yr old and never found any deals. Seemed like every dealer and pawn shop marked UP the kids guns, because they knew dad's are anxious to get the boys started.

Anyhow, I had a remington 1100 (12 ga) that I shot as a kid and decided to see if my son could handle the weight. So, I took it to a gunsmith and had him cut down the stock to fit. He got broke in shooting light field loads breaking targets and killed doves on his first hunt. I was real proud. Also, easier to share shells out of the same box.

good luck.
