But playing in a new years day bowl and having a 10 win season, when your in state rival doesn't have 10 wins in all 3 season combined, that could be contrude as a hypothetical feather of some sort... :D

I think Coach Cutcliffe didn't exactly fit in with the prez and AD at Mississippi. You know politics and religion or the lack thereof can cause a lot of friction. He didn't speak the party line...

What's your point? I'm I supposed to feel shamed of Ole Miss cause we fired Cuttcliffe or something? He was a good man, but he was doing NOTHING to better the football program and going down...when asked to present a plan for improvement he told his boss NO...and I am supposed to feel bad??? It's a fiercely competitive world in college football...The fact is it feels good to have better success, outstandingly better that our in-state rival. I don't understand your comment here? Oh, but MSU is so wonderful for hiring the first black head coach in the SEC. OH MY, maroon is the only color that matter. WTFever...keep playing the race card for what little limelight your pathetic program can muster...

Yeah, but look who UM ended up with. I mean he was the 1st guy that UM interviewed, yet the last person they offered the job too cuz no one else on the face of this earth wanted it.

I'm so glad you are so very informed on the details of Ole Miss athletic department hiring process. For the amount of money Ole Miss was able to offer and the facilities/commitment to even more facility upgrades in the future, I believe the Ole Miss job was FAR more appleaing than State. Hence the continuing demise of the Miss State football program even after a regime change.

Please don't make me have to list every single coach that declined the job offer at Ole Miss, don't have enough time in the day to do so.

The MSU job was offered to Jimbo Fisher first, wanted more $$$ than LT wanted to give so Croom got the job. UM was offering the big bucks and was getting turned down left and right, ended up saving that money by signing Zero.
