MS Mr. Football makes switch

Jimmy Johns is apparently looking to get on the field this year. I think he found himself 4th string QB and the coaches figured he would be better utilized at another position. Definitely special teams material this year.

I believe he played at Brookhaven? I don't know much about the kid...did any of you Mississippians get a chance to see him play in HS?

From what I understand, alot of people thought he would eventually move to LB. Regardless, I like his attitude and he is quite a physical force.

RTR!!!

He is a very good player. Played at Brookhaven High. SHouldn't have gotten Mr. Football in the state though, but nevertheless, a very solid player.

I really believe Derek Pegues shoulda won that award last year too...but at the same time Pegues screwed himself going to State, I didn't say that cause he didn't come to Ole Miss, I say that cause he shoulda went anywhere else...and the reasons he went to State.

And Johns will play at Bama...just not QB

Aww, you're just upset he didnt sign with $tate. I'm sure if he did he'd be the next Michael Vick.

Why on earth would a Mr. Football go out of state? His bio says he's a pretty smart kid. Maybe thats the answer.

derek peagsus

Who?

derek "smoke" pegues was South Panola's all star quarterback and he was also a jam up defensive player. he played both sides of the ball and special teams on a class 5a school. fast as greased lightning.

seriously, as an Ole Miss fan, I'm really not trying to pick on State, but your being niave to say "Why wouldn't a guy go to State?"

I mean come on...State got alot to do to get back to that point, fans and recruits are looking down at State right now...blame it on the Jackel.

About what? I asked a question and all you can give me is the same ole rhetoric.

we've argued back and forth now for a couple of years.. and you still don't get it

There's no arguing...I'm always right.

haven't you learned anything

You haven't said anything that has substance. Therefore, comprehension is impossible.

Wait a minute....you did say something of substance: that he'd never play a down at Alabama.

Sorry you can't keep your best players in state...

When you have nothing of substance to say , then you get called out for not having anything of substance to say , the best thing to do is fire off 5th grade insults!!! Yea!!!!

I never knew inquiring about a particular player meant that I was short or needed sex. Go figure?!?!?
