Anyone know the water level in the lake? Used to see a lot of ducks flying around when I fished there for fall crappie. Just wondering if old 8 was dry or under water.

Good. I may end up there trying to find a pocket of water to hunt but it's probably just as dry as my place. Guess I could also hunt in the Yalobusha around Graysport. Better starting tuning that single reed high-baller I guess.

Do you drive an argo? Sponnallard can show you all the hot spots if so!

Nope, will just have to drive old 8 and scout it from there best I can. I'll probably just end wasting gas but my hole is dry and I don't have a boat or 4 wheeler (yet).

the lake is low and getting lower. Probably came up a little with the rain we got today but I bet they have it drained back down in a day or two.

Anyone ever hunt Grenada? Are the duck numbers even there? Skuna is Redgrass under water or is it lower? What about Skuna and Turkey landings, any water there to launch a boat?

there is only two ramps that i know of that you can put in at right now and that is torrance and the marina. with the rain we are getting right now it may be a few pot holes to hunt come opening weekend but we need alot more wet stuff than what we got.

If you're going to have any chance of killing any ducks out there............the water level has to be at least 215. Unless you know where my spots are.

Unless I can see your spot from old 8 they'll be pretty safe. Thanks for the water level indicator. I probably won't make it out there this year since it's raining again unless I happen to be passing through one weekend. Good luck to you.

I'm going to call you up for a trip. Want to make sure we have water and birds before I invite anyone. Lake Village is a long way from S-Town. We'll have to work up a couple of trips. We'll try to get one together when Ducktater is off work and back from the Coast duty. Will the lovely other one let you wander that far away? You know the old sayin' "If she ain't happy..."

I hunt Grenada alot. The water is low. I will be checking on the geese this week and I can give you a report. The highway is high and dry. But I don't know when you were last there. If you put in at graysport they have blown the bridges. I will be huntting there openning weekend and would be glad to have you but I have four going already. If I do come across that argo I will shoot first and ask questions never.
