u jes tell her WHO came up w/ it...............and, then, 2 months later tell me how much you're diggin SLICE,

good, GOOD looking pup to bud....

there a LOT of folks on here w/ vivid imaginations......take trav and his jenna ---- wait, wrong board..............

here's some suggestions to help these knuckleheads out, b/c man, the NAME stays w/ em

give some background on the pup....

maybe some things you like doing....ya know, hobbies, related to duckin if at all possible -- but anything.....

what do you do for a living....

things/ideas such as this........man, GO ALL OUT. someone will help...

gauge's name is Harrison's Eight Gauge..........put the last name in there just for me......the eight gauge stems from duckin history and the old market hunter's......they'd plug that ole eight gauge w/ everything from the kitchen sink....i've heard stories that would make your toes curl on how many ducks they'd knock down in a sink box/boat.........my idea was to give gauge a strong duckin name, afterall when the 8 eight went off, it/he ALWAYS brought home the meat........

trapper's name is Eight Gauge's Mountain Man.......his name is really serendipidous i suppose.......i like to read, specifically i like to read old Louis L'amour books......they're set in the west around the turn of the 19th century....more specifically i love the old mountain man stories......i got this movie on dvd i watch all the time -- jeremiah johnson........anyhow, i love the western mountain lifestyle......everything about it - skiing, rafting, hiking, hunting, beer drinking, etc......anyhow, b/c i was picking trapper up coming back from my "northwestern duck trip" i thought it was appropriate....

his call name on the way up was gonna be "griz".......for some reason it just didn't fit......me and my bud were sitting around duckin one morning and i asked which point in history he'd like to live -- just a stupid question i always get around to.....he was the 'roaring 20's'....i sat there and told him i'd like to be around either the 1780's when the country was new, or the early 1800s when exploration was at it's peak....we got on how they lived, how hard it musta been, and i brought up this ole scene in jeremiah johnson......."were ya going"? "i'm going west to trap". something like that....griz was actually from that movie too ---- "where you goin ole timer?" "HUNTIN GRIZ".

anyhow, that's a LONG way of saying, look inward at things that interest you.......IMHO, reach for a strong name.....have a beer and in 5 seconds that sucker will NAME HIMSELF

gator...............................who still likes the name "gator's wonderbread"

Dogs typically live up to their names.... be careful of choosing a 'gay' name. I like macho dogs, so they all got macho names. travis

regardless, that's a good looking pup.
I agree with gator on things that intrest you, most dogs names fit. It's just what you make of it.
My little girls name is Slim Jim's Mazzin' Mallilou call name Malli.
Slim Jim is her father, Mazzin' because i thought she was amazing and her petagree was pretty hot, and Mallilou becasue my wife likes cindy lou who on the grinch, so we but the lou in. i guess if you think about it, it may be alittle gay. But it's a girl

Good luck finding a name, it's always fun.
