Motion decoys in your spread...

I was looking through Cabella's the other day and noticed a Shaker Set they are selling(looks like a hockey puck on the bottom of your decoy) that provides a ripple effect giving some motion to your spread. Does anyone use these? I'm just curious as to what ya'll thought about these things. Are they worth buying? Thanks.

We had a jerk string set up, but the past couple of places I've been, we were way too far for the string to reach and us still be covered. That was our inital plan, though.

Agreed!
The MEGA SHAKER that Phil Roberson endorses won't last but an hour at most on 4 AA bateries. The other Quiver Magnet types, you would have to use 10 of them things to move a spread.

MALLARD MACHINE
I love mine, the only set back is it takes a 12v to run it so if your walking aways its no good but if your drving to a plind or baoting its perfect, even comes with a remote.

those quiver magnents are not the best but mallard machines really work good, but overall jerk strings are the best and cheapest.

When you put on the jerk cord put some black elastic on the other end of it about 20' will do, it's cheap at any fabric store. That way you can reel it in then let the elastic pull it back a little at a time. Or if you let the whole thing go, it will leave an awesome wake right thru your dekes.
