If it were me, I would either try to play the Bridges in the Pass or Shell Landing in Gautier, MS (East end of the Coast). I am more familiar with the courses on the East side, and Shell Landing is the best of the bunch, MS National is so-so, St. Andrews is alright too, but bring your gnat repellant.

Tried golf and gave it up in the 80"s, but my golfing friends say Grand Bear (2 miles north of I-10) in Gulfport is one of the best plays on the Coast. The Bridges in Bay St. Louis is equally challenging I hear.

Grand Bear was the top new course in the US a couple of years ago, but you can only play it if you stay in the Hotel at the Grand Casino.

Grand Bear is the best down there. No doubt about it!! But you have to stay at the hotel to get on there and it costs around $100.

Sunkist is a pretty good course too, played it last year and the cost is pretty reasonable.
