You can make up to two applications of glyphosate (Roundup and other brands) anytime from corn emergence until the corn is 30-inches tall. After the corn is more than 30-inches tall, you can no longer make a broadcast application.

YOU CAN SPRAY UNTIL 48 INCHES TALL, OR AS EARLY AS NEEDED

Corn from 30-48 inches tall can only be sprayed with glyphosate from spray rig equipped with drop nozzles which direct spray below the corn leaves - not a normal spray boom.

Hey guys, never to late to think about next year. I was intrested in planting this RU Corn for duck in ag fields if different locations. My questions to you who have planted it or corn in general is when is the optimal time and deadline to plant in the delta. I appreciate any help/advice yall can give, I have never attempted to plant corn, but going to give it a whirl. Thanks guys.

I'm speaking from personal experience here--the earlier you plant it the better off you'll be. My opinion would be mid march to april if it's dry enough. You need those early rains, also, don't skimp on the fertilizer, go ahead and spend the money and do it right. It's expensive, but well worth it if we have any kind of migration.

Can you buy Roundup Ready corn and soybeans at the local co-op without having to pay the high price of the BioMax? Thanks

if any of you guys do plant any round up resistant crops in your duck holes, be cautious when applying the roundup. If your duck hole is surrounded by other crops that are not yours, be aware that they may not be resistant to glyphosate, especially milo, and it will be some conventional corn planted this year if seed is tight.

I agree. You're wasting your time and seed money if you don't fertilize properly.

when/ if you buy R2 corn or RR soybeans you will need to sign a Monsanto stewardship agreement.. its good for life.. just says you wont save the crop for seed..
