Need Help finding the value of a gun

I don't have a clue but I figure there are some gun gurus out there that can help me out...
It's an 1892 Marlin 22 Rifle
I don't have the serial number yet, but was wondering what is the high and low end of this gun?
Low end being not fireable, dirty, poor condition.
High end being shootable, clean gun, not immaculate.
I understand that for a top end old gun like this that prices will vary, I'm just looking for a ballpark figure.....
Thanks

I have a book at home that I got at wal-mart that lists gun values. I'll see if it's listed in there and let you know what I find out.

ive got a encyclopedia of guns at home, it sometimes gives ball park figures on some guns. If you have model number, that would help alot to determine the value.

I would suggest if you want to refurbish the gun check out Doug Turnbull's website. It will cost you $1,500 to $2,000 but you would have a beautiful rifle. I will get back with you on an as is value.

Description: Up for sale is a very nice ANTIQUE Marlin 1892. This rifle was made in 1897. S/N 140,XXX. I'm not as knowledgable about Marlins as I am Winchesters, but this gun appears to be all original (bluing and wood). There is some wear, but not abuse. The rifling appears to be very nice with a bore that shines. There may be small amounts of pitting, but overall, it looks very good. I have not shot this gun, but I'm sure it will shoot just fine. Since it is an Antique, have this gun checked out by a gunsmith before firing. I was told that it will shoot .22 Shorts, Longs and Long Rifles. These don't come along very often in this c
Looks like I under priced this firearm. I will also look in th e blue book when I get home to see what it says.

A gun of this nature does not need to be refinished at all. If you do the value will drop a great deal. Once they have been refinished collectors not longer want them.
