Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I live close to Pontotoc, MS. Me and my buddy are wanting to try out duck hunting this year, but neither of us has ever really been before and dont have a clue as to where to go, what to do, etc. Was wondering if someone on this forum would be kind enough to host us on a hunt this year?
I've got a flat bottom boat w/outboard, both have shotguns, both have waders, and thats about it. I may have a duck call or two.
We're both about 30 years old, so you youngsters might have to take it easy on us. lol
Appreciate any help we can get. Thanks.
Tommy

I live about 15 miles west of Tupelo, MS. Sardis & Enid are only about 1 hour from me. (Sardis a bit closer)

First post for me. Let's get this outta the way...
So as my friend mentioned, we are both new to hunting waterfowl and would like to get a boost in the right direction from a few experienced hunters in our area, Northeast MS. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site guys.. I'd be happy to help, but your a little to far north for my travels or area of expertise.. Unless your have your own lease or camp to go to, your probably going to have to go the public hunting route...
You can start by looking here.

a good place to start hunting by yourselves is the public land. talk to the wma land managers, get topo maps and just learn the trade.. youll get there dont worry.

and good luck
