The time change

How does it effect your hunting, esp. evening hunts?
I personally try to hunt as much as I can before the change over. I hate it now that I can't get off work in enough time in the afternoons to get on a stand.
And what about the NEW time change next year?

I just hate the fact that it looks like I won't get my two weeks worth of turkey hunting before work anymore. That is my favorite time of year for that very reason. I think the government needs to quit screwing with the time. It is fine just like it is now. You still have plenty of daylight in the summer after work and you have time to get stuff done early in the morning during hunting season.

What new time change...first I've heard of it. I wish they would just leave it as daylight savings time all year round myself.

I wish they would leave it standard time all year long. I am a morning person anyway. Dutch they are going to start daylight savings time two weeks early next year and that will coincide with the beginning of turkey season taking away the ability to hunt before work. At least for those of us on the site that have a job.

The new time change next year will hurt turkey hunters big time. No more hunting before work for those of us that have to be at work by 8:00am.

Great for evenings, terrible for mornings. Gotta get up at 3:45 to get to the old honey hole.

The article stated that it would start the second Sunday in March with is March 10th this year. Turkey season starts March 15th, 2007 so like I said it will ruin my turkey season.

well with the way you are talking its not the time changed that has ruined your turkey season, its having to go to work like the rest of us that is going to ruin it, if it means so much to you, just take off and the time change wont matter.

The time change -- not work -- has definitely hurt my season. Period.

Be self employed, tell everyone it's turkey season and I aint goin' to work until 10 am, if a patient doesn't like it tough, they can go somewhere else. However the time thing still really really sucks.
