You should not bath your dog at all during hunting season.

Just bathed mine yesterday. He will not get another one until Feb., unless we get in the skunk mud during hunting season.

They don't need bathing, but if too dirty there is a spray groom called Miracle Groom, works great.

I bathe mine after Sunday's hunt so his oils will build up during the week. After Saturday's hunt I just rinse him off really good so he is clean enough to come in the house. I just hunt on weekends so this works for us.

Wife requires me to wash Lacey when we come back from the marsh. I use an oatmeal shampoo to help keep the skin okay. Down here with in the salt marsh, it is EXTREMELY hard on dogs' skin and you have to do some washing or at least spraying to get that stuff off anyway.

I have not washed my lab in two years! They don't need it unless they roll in something or they never get in any freshwater. A simple rinse with the hose will take care of that.

find a creek or something and let him swim.

Bobby, does your dog stay in the house? That won't happen as long as I am married.

Jeff, no she hasn't been in the house for 19 months since the baby was born. Now I don't have to sweep everyday which is nice. But even before that we never had a problem with her smelling bad.
