I have duck hunted for about 5 years now and this weekend was the first time that I have ever been checked by a game warden.
And he really checked us out good, went through the blind bags, coat pockets, guns, and license.

I just got to wondering how often this happens to everybody else.

I get checked like that at least once a year.

So much I know the routine...I just expose it all when He walks up...

I have never been checked on anyhting other than a dove hunt. And I was like 12 then.

Knock on wood I haven't been checked since before I could drive and that was because my grand-dad got into a cussing match with warden at Van Vleet. But I don't give them any reason to be suspicious either.

Been checked 3 times in 40 years of hunting.

depends on where youhunt. You hunt public land, you are gonna get checked fairly often. been checked many times. been given more than one warning for not signing a duck stamp. dont know why I cant remember to sign the dang thing, but i never seem to remember it.

Its been a loooong time... saw a warden in the parking lot last year just talking with some other fellas. I walked up and made small talk, but, ol boy never did check me, or them, in ANY way. May have felt sorry for me as I had only 1 bootlip and 1 suzie on my strap. A nice fella

There is some newbie game warden in Boliver County that want leave me alone this year. He's been riding my case since dove season. You know the type, got his badge, now he thinks he's tough stuff! Always making references to him whooping my you know what...

Anyone been checked by this red-headed peepee but me?

HE hasn't gotten to me yet, but I have heard the rumors.
I heard he is a tough one.

Seriously - I get check about twice a year, depending where we hunt. For a while, the late Officer Riley, seemed to be everywhere I was. After checking my gun, shells and stamps 4 days in a row, we just waved to each other; or talked about the random things. He was a great person.

10 to 15 times a year

I heard that might be why he thinks he's so tough. Supposedly he got in a gang fight and took a couple... Well I got something for him!
